What is D2D?
When it comes to partitioning hard drives,
Drive2Drive is a Windows® based hard drive utility, capable of formatting,
partitioning and cloning drives while operating "IN WINDOWS". There is
nothing for you to learn. just launch the program and in a few minutes
your drive is the formatted, automatically partitioned and cloned. If you
decide that you want a different size partition, you can adjust the size
manually.
Technically savvy or NON-tech savvy
home computer users can use D2D to migrate data files, applications, and
system settings when adding or replacing a hard drive, or it can be used
as a rapid backup for security minded individuals, (destination drive must
be same size or larger).
Drive2Drive utilizes all Windows resources
(including: UARTs, processors and RAM ) to expedite its task with incredible
speed. Drive2Drive does not contain any confusing extras, just what is
needed to allow you to complete your task with the minimum delay. Some
of the features of D2D include format and partitioning your new hard drive,
and conversion from FAT16 to FAT32.

D2D automatically takes care
of some of the most difficult aspects of installing and configuring PCs,
including dynamically resizing from FAT16 to FAT32, partitioning as needed,
performing "on the fly" disk formatting. Manual procedures such as FDISK
and FORMAT commands are no longer necessary. Likewise, when the source
and target disks are different sizes, D2D adjusts the position and size
of the partitions automatically. |

Mode of Operation
D2D is an Windows executable. Place the
D2D disk into your floppy drive, type the execution command and when the
interface comes up, point and click. D2D will do all of the work, you need
not access DOS at all.
File Systems Supported by D2D
D2D supports the file systems of Windows
95, Windows 98 FAT16, FAT32.
NT and NTFS, and HPFS partition
types will be supported later this year.
